Argentina formalizes presidential election on October 23

The electoral calendar was established by a decree

Argentina's government on Monday made official announcement of elections to elect the country's president next October 23, with a possible second back to Nov. 20 and the call to primary open simultaneous binding on August 14 this year. The electoral calendar was established by a decree signed by the President of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez, said the official news agency of Argentina, Telam.
This decree states that "this year end the mandates of the President's Office, the Vice President's Office, half of the members of the Chamber of Deputies and Senators from the provinces of Buenos Aires (capital) , Formosa (north), Jujuy, La Rioja (both to the northwest), Misiones (northeast), San Juan, Santa Cruz (south) and San Luis (west).
